The Third Intensive Session of the Skill-path will be on “Experimental techniques and fatigue modelling of metal-matrix composites” and will be held at the University of Hertfordshire in Hatfield (UK) between July 3-8, 2008 and will consist of a total of 26 hours of lectures devoted to the topics listed below. Hatfield is situated about 15km north of London and can be easily reached by road, rail and air. Information on how to get there is attached.
Financial support (travel expenses, accommodation and breakfast, but not lunch and dinner) is foreseen for a limited number of attendees from the KMM-NoE participant Institutions. However, there is no registration fee and all admitted participants will be provided, free of charge, with the lecture notes. Accommodation in double rooms inclusive of breakfast will be organised at a local hotel from Wednesday 02.07.08 to the morning of Tuesday 08.07.08 (this can be extended by one night if requested). Dinner will be provided on Thursday 03.07.08.
Due to budget limitations in the final year of the project, no financial support can be offered for participants coming from the KMM External Research Network or the KMM External Industrial Network. However, no registration fees will be required.
